King Power has taken the Duty Free experience to another level, by bringing a world of brands together under one roof, at King Power Downtown. Not only is King Power Downtown conveniently located, but visitors can marvel at the elements of Thai culture and architecture, both traditional and contemporary, harmoniously intermeshed into the building’s design. The magnificent Crown Atrium is a sight to marvel at upon arrival with 20 metres tall and 40 metres wide. Visitors are enveloped by a shimmering crown jewel from above, its halo radiating light and beauty all around. The exterior of the atrium, decorated in Thai filigree motif as commonly found on antique Thai goldsmithery, communicates a rich history of Thai artisanship. Similarly, the finely designed floors, especially created using traditional Thai architectural motifs found during the reign of King Rama V, are a unique sight for both local and international visitors to the building. Created in collaboration with famed designers Ove Arup, the atrium also provides solar access and thermal access with its built-in solar shield.
The complex was made up of 3 buildings – King Power headquarters, the Downtown Complex, and The Pullman King Power Bangkok Hotel.
Aside from offering visitors a large-scale shopping opportunity, King Power Downtown has taken great care in creating a one-stop experience to sight, see, shop, and savour various cuisines.
