Mangosteen, the flavorful highlight of the rainy season, is known as the Queen of Fruit for its beautiful crown-shaped stem. Native to the east and the south of Thailand, it is round in shape, with splendid reddish-purple rind and tart-sweet white flesh. It is high in vitamin C, which can boost your immune system and refresh your spirit during the day.
Freeze drying is the technologically advanced food preservation which is preferred by NASA to preserve food for the astronauts. Fruit moisture is converted into water vapour by vacuum freeze drying at sub zeo condition (-40C). This enables the fruit to retain all of the essential nutrients, aroma and colour. Neither heat nor oil is used which means being healthy can now be done without compromise.
