THE OLFACTION
To express the fluid movement and impertinent sensuality of Yves Saint Laurent’s iconic see-through blouses, perfumer Quentin Bisch selected the lush, luminous Damascena rose, one of the two species of flower showcased in fine fragrance. “I chose to work on a rose because I wanted to capture its inherent sophistication and natural intensity, particularly at dusk. This approach allows me to create an elegant olfactory veil that subtly evokes the delicate texture of Yves Saint Laurent’s original blouse”. Not just delicate but also assertive and vibrant, the precious rose breaks free from classic elegance to take on the very modern sheerness of chiffon.
Impertinent green, citrusy accents infuse the silky petals with vibrant, fresh energy. “Just as the fabric drapes delicately and gracefully, herbal, musky angelica adds a layer of depth and intrigue to the fragrance, creating an experience that is both airy and profound”, the perfumer adds.
The gauzy, green floral blend is enhanced by yet another musky note: warm, sensuous Cashmeran.
